Premature ejaculation is one of the most common concerns among men, and it is one that most people are too embarrassed to discuss openly. The good news is that delay condoms offer a simple, non-prescription, non-invasive way to address it — without any awkward pharmacy conversations.
At Privily, delay condoms are our most popular category. We stock four distinct products with different approaches to delay, different price points, and different experiences. This guide explains how they all work, what makes them different, and which one you should try first.
What is a delay condom and how does it work?
A delay condom looks like a standard condom on the outside. The difference is on the inside — the inner surface is coated with a lubricant that contains a mild desensitising agent. This agent reduces the sensitivity of the most sensitive area just enough to delay climax without eliminating sensation altogether.
There are two main types of delay mechanism used in condoms available in Pakistan:
Benzocaine-based delay
Benzocaine is a local anaesthetic that has been used in dentistry and topical products for decades. In delay condoms, a very small concentration is applied to the inside of the condom. When worn, benzocaine absorbs slowly through the skin and creates a mild numbing effect.
The key word is mild. You still feel pleasure — the benzocaine simply reduces the speed at which stimulation builds. Most men who use benzocaine delay condoms report being able to last noticeably longer without any reduction in enjoyment.
Products in our range that use benzocaine: ONE Extended Pleasure and Touch Delay Dispenser.
Special delay lubricant
Not all delay condoms use benzocaine. Some brands use proprietary delay lubricant formulations that achieve a similar effect through different chemistry. These are sometimes better tolerated by people who are sensitive to benzocaine.
Products in our range using this approach: Sathi Plus Delay and DO Extra Delay.
Is it safe to use delay condoms?
Yes, when used as directed. The concentration of benzocaine or delay lubricant in these products is very low and has been through rigorous safety testing. All four delay products we stock are WHO and ISO certified, and all are electronically tested before packaging.
A few things to be aware of:
- Do not use more than one delay condom at a time thinking it will increase the effect. It will not, and it increases the risk of breakage.
- If your partner experiences any irritation, discontinue use and try a different brand or formulation.
- If you have a known sensitivity to anaesthetics, stick to the non-benzocaine options like Sathi Plus or DO Extra Delay.
- Do not use delay condoms with a separate topical anaesthetic spray — combining the two can cause over-desensitisation.
Sathi Plus Delay — Rs. 650 for 18 pieces
Sathi is a Pakistani brand with years of market presence and a solid reputation for reliability. The Plus Delay version uses a special delay lubricant — not benzocaine — in a bulk dispenser format of 18 condoms (six packs of three).
At around Rs. 36 per condom, this is by far the most affordable delay option available. For a first-time buyer of delay condoms, it is the sensible starting point. You get enough condoms to actually gauge whether the effect works for you, at a price that makes experimentation feel low-risk.
The condom itself is made from premium natural rubber latex, is electronically tested, and carries WHO and ISO certification. It is not imported — Sathi manufactures locally — but the standards it meets are international.
Best for: First-time delay condom users, budget-conscious buyers, anyone who wants a large supply to establish whether delay products help them.
DO Extra Delay — Rs. 1,400 for 18 pieces
DO is an imported brand that focuses specifically on delay performance. The Extra Delay formulation uses a dedicated delay lubricant and comes pre-lubricated, which means smooth application right out of the packet.
At Rs. 1,400 for 18 condoms (approximately Rs. 78 each), it costs roughly double the Sathi Plus but offers an imported product with a more pronounced delay focus. People who have found the Sathi Plus effect too subtle often find DO Extra Delay delivers a more noticeable result.
Like all products in our range, it is 100% electronically tested and WHO/ISO certified.
Best for: Those who have already tried basic delay products and want a step up. Also good for anyone who specifically wants an imported product in this category.
Touch Delay Dispenser — Rs. 1,000 for 18 pieces
Touch uses benzocaine as its delay agent — clearly stated on the packaging — making it one of the more transparent products about its active ingredient. It comes in a dispenser of 18 pieces and is priced at Rs. 1,000, working out to about Rs. 56 per condom.
Benzocaine has a long track record as a delay method. Touch uses it in the premium natural rubber latex format with electronic testing and WHO/ISO approval. It is imported, which gives some buyers additional confidence in the manufacturing standards.
The benzocaine effect tends to be consistent and predictable — once you know how your body responds to it, you can rely on a similar experience each time.
Best for: Anyone who has researched benzocaine and wants to try it in a bulk, cost-effective format. A middle ground between Sathi Plus (cheapest) and ONE Extended Pleasure (premium).
ONE Extended Pleasure — Rs. 750
ONE is an American brand manufactured to high standards. The Extended Pleasure condom also uses benzocaine, but combines it with SENSATEX softer latex — a material that is genuinely noticeably softer than standard rubber latex.
This matters because one common complaint about delay condoms is that they can feel thicker or less pleasant than regular condoms, partially cancelling out the benefit of lasting longer. ONE solves this by using superior latex that feels better to wear while still delivering the benzocaine delay effect.
The box notes that with continued use, this product can help improve premature ejaculation more broadly — the theory being that experiencing a longer-lasting experience consistently can help train a more relaxed response over time.
Best for: Those who want the best combination of delay effect and comfort. If you have tried delay condoms before and found them unpleasant to wear, ONE is worth trying specifically for its softer latex.

Common questions about delay condoms
Will my partner feel the delay effect?
The desensitising agent is on the inside of the condom — it is designed to affect the wearer, not the partner. However if some lubricant transfers, it is possible for a small amount to reach the partner. The quantities involved are very small and rarely cause an issue. If you are concerned, apply the condom and wait a minute before use.
How quickly does the delay effect kick in?
Benzocaine takes a few minutes to absorb. The delay lubricant types can act slightly faster. In both cases, allowing a few minutes after putting on the condom before beginning is recommended to get the best effect.
Can I use a delay condom if I do not have premature ejaculation?
Absolutely. Many couples use delay condoms simply to extend a pleasurable experience, not because of any specific concern. There is nothing harmful about using a delay condom recreationally.
Do delay condoms expire?
Yes. All condoms have an expiry date printed on the packaging. Never use an expired condom — the latex degrades and the risk of breakage increases significantly. All products shipped by Privily are well within their expiry date.
